Haitian Health Foundation Update from Fr Golas

The recent earthquake that struck Southwestern Haiti has caused over 1,500 fatalities and 7,000 injured. The epicenter was close to Jeremie where the Haitian Health Foundation (HHF) is located.

The Foundation has been serving the needs of the people of Haiti for nearly forty years. This is the foundation the parish has been supporting in building “Happy Houses”. Some HHF facilities sustained some damage, but it has not affected their operations. 

The foundation is requesting our help to replenish important medical supplies and medicines that will soon be depleted. There will be a second collection for the Haitian Health Foundation this weekend,  September 4th and 5th. Envelopes are available at the exits of both churches. You may write your name and offertory envelope number on the envelopes provided if you wish.
